Look along the interior side walls, ceiling, or near the crisper drawers. Some models have the label behind a lower drawer.
Knowing the model number helps us understand the exact appliance you have. Here’s where manufacturers commonly place the sticker or rating plate.
Look for a sticker or metal plate marked MODEL, MOD, or MODEL NO. The model number identifies the appliance design. The serial number usually identifies your individual unit.
Sticker locations vary by brand and model. These are common places to check, not guaranteed locations.

Front-load models: inspect the door rim or door-frame opening. Top-load models: check under the lid or around the opening.
Open the dryer door and look around the door opening, the inner frame, or inside edge of the door.
Open the dishwasher door and inspect either vertical edge of the door or the frame along the tub opening.
Check the opening behind the oven door, around the lower storage drawer, or near the frame by the front legs. Locations vary.
Many countertop microwaves have the label on the rear; over-the-range models commonly show it inside the door opening or frame. Do not remove a mounted microwave to search.
A label may be underneath the cooktop or on the metal base. If it cannot be seen safely without moving or disconnecting equipment, ask a technician.
Check the interior side wall, door frame, or a visible outer side or rear cabinet label. Do not tip or move a heavy freezer.
Only inspect visible, accessible labels. Don’t pull out heavy appliances, remove panels, disconnect gas lines, or open electrical compartments just to find a model number. If the label is hard to reach, we can help during service.
